Suzanne Truchard is running for supervisor in district 1 - 62% local
Suzanne Truchard is lawyer and real estate broker and has $200,576 in monetary contributions toward the primary election, June 7, 2022. More than half of these, $103,100, have come from 12 entities or families, including some of her own (illustrated below). It has been pointed out by critics that she has raised quite a bit from out of state. From our research, as of May 2022, it appears $44,650 have come from out of state. $31,801 of the California funds have come from outside Napa County, totaling $76,451 from non local donations, or 38%, toward this local campaign. We did not include non monetary contributions in this study of how Napa County elections are influenced. With the new cap at $4,900, we were curious where her funds came from. She is a Meulrath candidate and as of May 2022 spent over $14,900 to the public affairs company, according to her campaign statements. She is also receiving support from the Farm Bureau. Costs covered by the Farm Bureau do not need to be reported on Suzanne Truchard's statements.
As of October 2022, it is worth noting that combining the two elections, (primary and general), $136,000 have come from 12 sources/families toward Suzanne Truchard's Supervisorial 2022 race.
It is worth noting the crossover of donors from previous Muelrath candidates, including Alfredo Pedroza. It is also worth noting Suzanne Truchard is using the same Treasurer for her campaign as Alfredo Pedroza, Mr. Michael Murray, the CFO of Napa Recycling and Waste Services. Additionally, like the other two Muelrath candidates (Dunbar and Ortiz), she is also funded by the Farm Bureau Political Action Committee as stated above, which is largely funded by Charles Wagner and Dario Sattui, according to their statements. Read more about the Farm Bureau here.
